rough, like all my work
Basically, it's based off the scene where Ada is in the helicopter at the end of RE4.
Thus, time for mini-backstory cuz you know me.
Also, some of this may not be 100% accurate. I don't study.
A smile finally broke her hard expression. That calm, guarded look she had practiced for years.
It was over for her. She was on her way out of this tiresome, dirty ordeal. All the relief and exhaustion prompted her to close her eyes, but she didn't let herself keep them closed. She couldn't.
She replayed the last 15 seconds in her mind. She'd tossed him the key. She had stored the sample. And things looked like they would fall into place just as she'd planned. As usual.
Everyone had played their parts beautifully, especially Leon.
Leon had grown since Raccoon. She could hardly believe the experience that resonated in his voice, or the heightened wariness he'd shown her. The U.S. Government had done a good job. This agent was truly prepared.
But to be honest, she thought the government was lucky to have him.
He'd struck her as keenly intuitive from the moment they'd met. It had seemed innate in him, visible through his icy blue eyes. This wasn't just part of his training. Maybe confusion in his heart and shattered memories had made him sense danger at the sight of her.
It had hurt.
How much longer can I keep this up? He perceives me as the enemy.
And, of course, who could blame him? For one, she'd been given orders to assassinate him. Then there was the fact that Leon himself knew she was associated with Wesker, the man who was attempting to resurrect Umbrella. And then she'd used him to obtain the Plaga sample.
It wasn't the kind of job that sent you home feeling gratified.
But even with the pain, there was a bit of pride. Leon was growing. He would continue to build up his character and skills, and he'd live.
Remembering his self-assured gaze, then that playful, barely-there smile on the boat, all the doubts were erased from her mind.
He'd continue to be that steel-willed survivor, a fighter for a cause he refused to see lost.
. . . And there was a little bonus, he still wanted her.
And she gave in to the smile tugging at her mouth again.
my writing sucks but i love leon or soemthing. p.s. this doesn't make sense.
it's 2 am, i'm going to sleep.
